We’re a homeschool family in the Durant, Oklahoma area, and we like keeping things structured while still giving our kids room to learn at their own pace. For us, homeschooling is about making learning meaningful, practical, and part of everyday family life. I created this website to share the resources, ideas, curriculum, and things we’ve discovered along our homeschool journey with other families. We’re also a Cherokee Nation tribal family, and our family members are enrolled citizens of the Cherokee Nation. Our Native heritage is a big part of who we are and our connection to Oklahoma. We also embrace our Czech and Russian heritage, along with the traditions, foods, history, and family stories that come with it. It’s all part of what makes our family who we are.
A Quick Clarification: You may see photographs of our family with various homeschool groups in the Northern Texas/Southern Oklahoma area. Those photos simply reflect groups we participated in at the time and do not constitute an endorsement or recommendation of those organizations. Unless a group is specifically listed on our Resources page, we are not recommending or vouching for it.

Our homeschool is structured and routine-based, but we believe learning should extend far beyond textbooks.
Technology is an important part of education, and we give it the same intentional focus as cultural learning, community involvement, hands-on experiences, and practical life skills.
Our kids learn how to create, explore, solve problems, care for themselves, contribute to their family, and help the people around them.
We believe homeschooling gives us the opportunity to build an education that prepares our children not only for academics, but for real life.
Resources
Homeschooling doesn’t have to be overwhelming—or expensive. That’s why we’re sharing a collection of curriculums and supplemental educational resources designed to support families at every stage of learning. Everything here is either free or cost‑effective, so you can focus on teaching without worrying about breaking the budget.
Placement Quizzes
Our English, Math, Social Studies and Science placement quizzes are designed to be short, simple, and effective. Each quiz has just 20 easy‑to‑understand questions, with results available immediately. While we don’t have a “read‑to‑me” feature yet, we’re actively working on it to make the quizzes even more accessible.
